Jamaica Defence Force Chief of Staff Major General Antony Anderson and two members of the military have completed a senior official visit to the U.S. Department of Defense.
The team also held discussions with the U.S. Army as well as the District of Columbia National Guard on objectives for Jamaica as part of the National Guard State Partnership Program.
The visit also included meetings with senior officials and tours of the Pentagon.
Major Anderson says senior official visits are a way to strengthen professional bonds between the D.C. National Guard and the Jamaica Defence Force and discuss continued mutual support through the State Partnership Program.
While in Washington D.C., Major Anderson and his party met with General Martin E. Dempsey, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and General Craig R. McKinley, Chief of the National Guard Bureau.
