KINGSTON, Jamaica – Americans swept the Heats of the 110 metre men’s hurdles as Jamaica’s Hanlse Parchment (13.43) squeezed through to the semis although finishing fifth in his heat.Jason Richardson, Ryan Wilson, Aries Merritt and David Oliver all won their heats with Oliver’s 13.05 the fastest. Jamaica’s Andrew Riley (13.27) placing third in hit Heat also progressed to the semi finals scheduled for Day 3, Monday, August 12 at 10.05am Jamaica time. Dwight Thomas, Jamaica’s third entrant did not start.The first three in each Heat automatically progress along with the fastest four finishers.
