ST MARY, Jamaica – Due to the recent heavy rains that affected the town of Port Maria and specifically the Port Maria Primary School, the school administration has instituted special measures to facilitate the resumption of regular classroom sessions for students.The following will be put in place: Grade 4 which consists of five classes will receive classroom instruction at the Port Maria Preparatory and High School Grade 6 students will attend Brimmervale High School Three of the five Grade 5 classes will have classes at the Emmanuel Baptist Church while the remaining two will attend classes Kurt United Church.The Ministry of Education says it is currently exploring other options for grades one to three. This arrangement will commence on Thursday November 15 on a phased basis. According to the ministry teachers and parents were already consulted and are in full support of the proposal.
